Growth of minor-closed families

Let A be a proper family of labelled graphs closed under minors, and let a(n) be the number of graphs in A with n vertices. We show that the growth of a(n) is either factorial (between n^(n/2) and n^n), exponential, polynomial or constant equal to 0 or 1.
