Hit-and-Run sampling of neuromechanical polytopes

This talk features joint work between ETH and USC, which presents a novel application of the well-known Hit-and-Run polytope sampling algorithm to a realistic model of a human index finger. With this, we designed an interactive parallel coordinate visualization of the polytope, upon which we can add post-hoc constraints. Using this method, we illustrate how a variety of muscle activations can create the exact same force.
